I really do not think that Denim is any more Mens only material

I also do not believe that pants are mens only garments.

I do believe the ONLY scripture we use to "prove" that women should not wera that which pertaineth to a man ( dt 22:5) has been misinterpreted by us.

If we look to thew original language, It states that a woman should take up the armaments of a warrior.

Of course when you look at it tha way all you can do is say God dprefers that women do not go to war.

I wear denim skirts, but I do not wear them with tennis shoes. The only time I have worn tennis shoes with a skirt is when I was in San Francisco on a walking tour- my feet were killing me. I swallowed my pride and bought a pair of tennis shoes to wear walking around, so I could finish seeing the sights. Wearing skirts with unfeminine shoes is a pet peeve of mine.

I seldom wear jean skirts but I do not see denim for men any more than red is for a prostitute or black for the devil...I think we get hooked on too many non essential things...
Maybe major in minors and minor in majors...

Like a preacher that once visited us and told our women they had to wear hose...and all the while he was having an affair with the maid...lol...I am so glad I told him I would not tell our people they had to wear hose when they did not even have bread money...kinda like firemen who straighten pictures in burning houses...

Just what I want my wife to learn at a church gathering. I am sure she would have gained great strides in her spiritual life by attending such a spiritual gathering.

I did not read all 11 pages of this thread - but my first thought is OMW! What are we coming to? That we will actual teach a class on making a skirt out of pants! I was a child that grew up that way (mom did that type of sowing for all the her girls).

Why are we not teaching a class on the Fruit of the Spirit, God's grace, True Holiness....? It still amazes me. So glad I am free from that type of thinking and teaching.
