I know Stephen's intent was on a monetary level and that is fine. If you can leave your children something to put them further ahead than you were when you started out that's good. But there are other riches handed down that a plummeting stockmarket can't take away. The Godly example of good parents. The smell of warm bread and supper on the stove. The many family gatherings of uncles, aunts, cousins, and grandparents laughing and playing. The many hunting and camping trips. The lively, and yes even heated, discussions of scripture. Memories, memories, I'm rich in memories!
I know my children will find they are also rich in memories when I am gone. But if those memories are lined with a little silver, ... all the better.
