Speaking of ice and dogs....
You were talking about ice, I'm talking about dogs.
I had a dog that loved ice. I would give him a cube of ice and he'd chomp it down. After he had eaten 3 or 4 cubes, he'd take the others into the yard and bury them to be eaten later. What was funny to watch was when he'd go back later to enjoy his hidden treasures, only to discover they were gone! He never learned what was happening. I think he suspected the cat of stealing his ice!

My youngest "baby" loves ice as well. In the summer, I will throw a few cubes into their water dish, and he will go "bobbing" for the ice cubs, and get his face and "beard" all wet.
The only problem is that he chews on them, but often leaves little pieces around the house to melt. Which is bad when it is on the hard surface and the poor unsuspecting person goes slip sliding away...

Well, I was thinking what a pain it would be to bother the neighbor for ice - consistently. I'd rather purchase the bags of ice. But, you did good - getting it fixed.

Well, it wasn't really a pain for me to bother the neighbor - I just sent my son to do it!!
