I would not want my children going to school with a professing lesbian. When they're older, and I've had a chance to properly educate them, that will be one thing. But to be in a normal setting with someone who advocates a sinful choice can potentially normalize the behavior in the eyes of my child.
If the girl[s] wasn't vocal about her "choice" to be a lesbian, then no one would have known, and being vocal about it is enough for expulsion, IMO. It indicates an effrontery, a bold mindset that doesn't care what others think about choosing to sin. I don't want my children in the company of people who deliberately choose sin. It would be like someone stating openly that stealing is fine, or that premarital sex is a good thing. I don't want my children exposed to people who believe sin is okay--not yet, anyway. And not their peers.
Bottom line: I agree with the school's decision.

Off subject here, but in your opinion is private school better for kids then public? I know of kids from both you left and stayed in church.
