There is value to be clean shaven in an NBC or radiation environment, but that is not an every day situation.
When folks try to add salvational value to a man-made discipline, they're simply wrong.
Folks would be better of to just simply state, "Don't shave because I told you so,"-- or maybe something a little less abrasive.
Then it truly becomes a matter of obedience and submission.

I can't imagine how arbitrarily demanding anything without scriptural support would be better than just making stuff up... they are one and the same.
