What if the bible reads they carried a sword and not a Glock? What does that prove? A sword was their only weapon of choice in that era. I'm sure the magistrate and Apostle Peter would utilize Glocks if they were in existence during their lifetime!
The fact is the magistrate utilized swords in that era:
Romans 13:4 (NIV)
For they are God's servants working for your good. But if you do what is wrong, you should be afraid, for it is not without reason that
they bear the sword. Indeed, they are God's servants to administer punishment to anyone who does wrong.
If Jesus didn't mind Peter and the magistrate bearing swords (weapon of their time), Jesus wouldn't mind us utilizing pistols (weapon of our generation)!
