Psalm 51:10-12
Please let's stop. To my brother who said it, you're right, this isn't a place to find the answer. So as God is showing me, the place for the answer to my questions will be found on my knees; and if I never know the answer to this, then, HE knows best.

What do you know, I guess I just found my answer.

I have found there are two kind of posters on theads like these Sinatra.
There are those who are so blessed that in all their years in Pentecost, they have never met or run into a pastor like you had. They can not believe or except that pastors like this exsist.
The other type of poster here, like myself, has experienced a pastor that was very controling, dictatorial, pastored thru control and fear instead of love.
Those of us that have been in that situation find it hard to believe sometimes that all pastors aren't like the one we had.
In Pentecost, we have it all, the good the bad and the ugly.
This was my first and last post on this thread.
I pray you find a place of worship soon Sinatra.

Dear Sinatra,
You do not have to apologize for wanting to find answers to your questions or healing for your hurts here on an APOSTLIC forum. As I read and study my Bible we are all supposed to be agents of healing and peace. When many of us who are wounded - explain how these things transpired, knowing it is our perception of how things transpired, several UC Pastors get upset because they deny these things happen ignorring the wounded and bleeding laying in the battlefield.
While Paul would tell us to leave the past behind - before this can happen, often times the wounded just need to be heard/validated that they were hurt, and then they can go through a process of forgiving when they understand the why's or not. This is where faith comes in. Even though bad things happen to God's people, we have a promise that he will turn all these things around to our good.
Don't be frustrated or intimidated by the brashness of those who would like to tell you that it was some fault of yours that you were singled out and persecuted - like you deserved the abuse. Jesus surely didn't deserve all he was put through. Had he not been put through it then you and I could not get healing from some of the unjust things that happen to us.
There is much healing that happens through others on this forum. For instance, yesterday I left work early - a bit tired, anxious, and depressed. I went to my mailbox and a friend from this forum had sent me a beautiful card and a chocolate bunny which lifted my spirits and let me know someone was praying for me.
So listen to the voices of the healers on the forum and ignor the voices of the people who hurt.
In Jesus name,
Rhoni

Re: Why would a Pastor do this to me ?
Pentecost is like many other religions we have the good and the bad....I have been blessed all my life to have a good pastor.
I would not sit under an abusive pastor...however sheep (?) too can be abusive...the heart of man is deceitful...
Whoever you are I care...and no matter the circumstances you can count on my prayers.

Talking about old songs this one came to mind;
I've been walked-stepped on-so many times.
