But they did not.
Also... this "obstinate" behavior occurred because he was detained. Not the other way around.
If standing up for your rights is the definition of obstinance then color me obstinate.
He was asking one question. Is he legally required to answer that question.
If he is... then he would answer.
if he is not legally required to answer the question then... he does not have to.

Exactly.
Now the one bit of good news in this is that when the FBI guy showed up, he simply got the guy released.
At least in this case the FBI got it right.
