The way I see it is "For now" part we do not see things clearly right now and the "But then"part is when we are face to face with Jesus it will be clear..I am probley looking at that wrong..
If it will be clear when we are face to face with Jesus...then couldn't this also be the same time when prophecies fail, tongues cease, and knowledge vanishes?
as for looking at it wrong...i honestly question anyones ability to understand completely Paul's writings. Especially since we don't have the manuscripts...or even copies of the letters he recieved. its like listening to one side of a conversation.
I believe a maricle can happen and the sick can be healed but I don't think we need to put our hands on someone for it to happen I believe that person can just ask and if god wants it to happen it will..
Well no, just a friendly reminder from me that this is an "Apostolic" forum. A fully cessationist view stands in contrast to how we define the term.
It should not be expected to receive equal treatment here.

I am a firm believer in the Old Paths
Articles on such subjects as "The New Birth," will be accepted, whether they teach that the new birth takes place before baptism in water and Spirit, or that the new birth consists of baptism of water and Spirit. - THE PENTECOSTAL HERALD Dec. 1945
"It is doubtful if any Trinitarian Pentecostals have ever professed to believe in three gods, and Oneness Pentecostals should not claim that they do." - Daniel Segraves
meaning you don't believe in the Bible?....or you don't believe in the super-natural?
I don't believe the Bible was divinely inspired, nor infallible, though much of it is beneficial and worth study. As far as the supernatural goes, I'm skeptical of it, and that includes the Bible stories. I suspect that they are (at least most of them) based on actual events, but the written accounts were "enhanced". The Egyptian plagues, e.g., could have actually happened, quite similarly to the Exodus account (there are theories, anyway, involving red algae in the river, causing fish to die and frogs to leave it, and so on), but God's direct involvement as punishment for Pharaoh's saying "no" was added later. IMO.

Just tell me then since you beleive in the initial evidence theroy how can a person born without a tongue get the holyghost with the initial evidence apparantly this is how you believe. Just friendly conversation thats all...
KW, what about those born without the mental capacity to repent? Are we going to base our theology on that? I think it's best to rely on scripture for our positions whatever they may be.

Well, the Bible would put them in hell, if they can't repent, wouldn't it?
