Does it seem reasonable that when you do not feel like composing a post that you would not sign in...to avoid having people see your screenname at the bottom and wonder why you are ignoring that specific thread?
Lurking (reading without login) is a reasonable course of action for folks who follow AFF but are not in the correct circumstance for participation.
You could log on in invisible mode. No one except the admins will know you are here.
