Oh, please. I'm an American, I'm a right wing conservative, so if I want to vote (or not vote) for someone based on those views, I'm welcome to.

It's supposed to be about the best performer. PERIOD.

Their character matters. If it doesn't--it should. And I can make it matter with my vote. Even if my vote is the only one.

I've always felt sorry for the blatantly gay in "Apostolic/Pentecostal" circles.

Quit trying to be so politically correct. "Sexuality" shouldn't play into the discussion? If a person is public with their sexuality, they give others the right to have an opinion about it, and to express that opinion. If they didn't want to give others that right, they should keep it private.

Regardless, AI has always been about the whole package. Not just the singing. They have to look good, be good, and perform well on stage as well as be able to sing. If I decide to take the time to vote for someone (which is rare anyway), I will consider everything about them that concerns me.

As for homosexuals on platforms--unless someone states publicly that they are homosexual, I don't feel I have the right to judge them as being such--I'm not God, I don't know their hearts. Are you, and do you?

Some men are effeminate, and that should be dealt with. However, saying effeminacy necessarily equals homosexuality is like saying a woman with a gregarious personality (which can be viewed as "flirty") is necessarily an adulteress. Not good to make those kinds of leaps.
