Re: Kings of Leon

I never said that because a person is a strong christian makes it ok to listen to this. I said that a strong christian or weak christian for that matter can listen to whatever they want....they have a God given ability to choose. I never said it was RIGHT either....I said for me it is fine. If you don't want to Prax than don't

I believe that God annointed them with the abilities to play what they learned to play and that they are acting in that ability when playing, but they are not playing under the annointing of the HG. Is something that is not under the HG automatically wrong? Just curious

Re: Kings of Leon

According to the arguments of some here a strong Christian is on who abstains. Maybe we should just become monks and hid out in a compound. Look, without God everything is sinful. It is our faith that brings us into right relationship with him. A person who has a strong relationship with God will be convicted if something becomes detrimental to their relationship.

i think this is sort of like "dancing in the spirit"....but whenever someone does this you also get to see them do the funky-chicken herky-jerky dance in the flesh.

Well first of all I was commenting on what people are saying in general as well as what you said. You did not actually say the part about strong Christian.

However beside the above quote where you called people wishy washy that were honest enough to admit that carnal, worldly music such as gangster rap can have an effect on them wishy washy.

Further you tacitly justified it being ok to listen to that kind of stuff by asserting that you would not change into a gangster and my point was that just because it did not change you into a gangster, a radical change, does not mean it does not have some affect on you spiritually that you are not seeing and that is long term, not over night.

For example someone that listens to that kind of music regularly, might not change into a gangster over night, or ever, but they might find their walk with God is not as strong as it once was

Well I can see your problem right now. It is very clear. Puff the magic Dragon was NEVER a musical masterpiece
