It's almost like saying that we are never going to be weak. The scriptures do not bear that out.
I Cor 10:12 "Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall."
This scripture is warning the father not to provoke his son to anger or he would become discouraged.
Colossians 3:21 "Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged."
What do discouraged people do? They make bad decisions. They make mistakes. Does the father sin by not obeying the admonition in Colossians? Are we ever responsible for our ill treatment of another causing them in weakness to fall? The scriptures appear, IMO, very clear that we are just as culpable.
Sure, we have a host of scriptures instructing us on how to live a good, clean, moral and upstanding Christian life, BUT my contention is that we need to not overlook our part and the admonition in scripture, toward our actions in the lives of those that are weak.
That's all I'm trying to say.
