I heard John McCain thank Sean Hannity, on a clip at RealClearPolitics, for calling him Senator and not Sir. Hilarious!!!

Re: Her Highness Barbara Boxer
I thought the tone of Boxers "request" was rather flippant too...I wonder if she did this because he is a guy or because he is military

I would imagine both of those reasons plus a few more like she is a self rightous ego maniac and women's libber with an enormous chip on her shoulder.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

Re: Her Highness Barbara Boxer
Unfortunatley, she's my senator
Have you all heard of a sweet, kind lady named MAXINE WATERS???
That's Prax's congresswoman and don't you ever forget that Prax!!
Also, I don't know if you are all aware, but San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newson is going to be running for Governor with the backing of SF and Hollywood.
We're really going to have to pray on this one because if he gets into office, we are really in big trouble! :foottap

Re: Her Highness Barbara Boxer
Typical democrats, they bring absolutely NO substance, integrity, or power to their offices, they rely on their offices to bring it to them.
People should be convicted by your reputation when they use a wrong title, you shouldn't have to whine and whinny in demanding it.
liberal democrats, the bane of democracy...ironic isn't it.

I watched and listened to the video.
Honestly, that BG should have known better. He didn't get to where he is without knowing how to keep greasy wheels from squeeking.
He should have known better.
The incident was quite embarrassing.
She is a Senator, and given the situation, the correction was not out of line.
She did not seem flippant to me.
Regardless, his mistake was inexcusable.
The military prides itself on customs and courtesies. He should have taken the time to remind himself of what's appropriate and what's not.
If he did and he just messed up, well, that's "acceptable" if you're Private Benjamin!
"I didn't know" or "I messed up" is NEVER ACCEPTABLE FOR A BRIGADIER GENERAL!!!

You are flat out wrong. If you do a google search you will find that this Brigadier General was absolutely using military protocol in calling Barbara Boxer "ma'am" just as military men call male Senator's "sir".
I find it amazing that you defend this woman's crass behaviour.

When you've gone down the dark road of "Obama-dom" you have to defend an awful lot lest your house of cards collapse.
