You stated that you get asked that A LOT, right? Well, that being the case, I find that to be a problem, and really sad. OP's shouldn't be known more for the outside issue, yet they spend so much time preaching on it, the real issue is lost somewhere, and even the sinners can't find it.

Nevertheless, if that is your church's standard, you are likely to get asked that. A lot.
So it makes sense to want to study it out.
