Nope, you've already spun it your direction. If I suggested any "truth-o-meter" it was (for me) based on the interaction of personal experience with what I found in the Bible, not just a matter of just "read-n-decide." My presumptions/conclusions about "truth" take root when I experience spiritual changes that correlate with patterns of teaching I find in the NT. Some of this "experiencial credibility" has to do with the speed and magnitude--"automaticity" if you will, of some of the changes/experences surrounding conversion, and yes, our personal PERCEPTIONS. An experience, a belief, a "truth" is not a problem just because it's not provable on your terms. This may be rather why in New Testament, our "testimony" is emphasized, not so much our exegesis skill.
