You're correct, Jesus and His apostles are not about force.
The church is supposed to tell it like it is, and then the sinners make the decision to walk the path. A narrow path with a strait gate where Jesus told us to enter in.
When I was in the world I always thought the preachers on television didn't know what was going on in the real world. When people would be hanging out at my house, I would click through the channels, and stop on one of the many T.V. preachers. I saw that it was a show, and they would quote a scripture, and then proceed to tell a story about how we needed to invite Jesus into ouur hearts. At the end of every show, they would lead their audience into a sinner's prayer. I guess it is pretty much the same now as it was then. When the time came for me to come to Jesus, I needed a real live preacher to point the way. Not some joker having his church services televised (NOT SAYING THAT ABOUT YOU AND BROTHER EDDIE!!!!) or some opportunist televangelist ripping off little old ladies for their social security checks. Real one on one live and in person, ministry of the preachers and the saints working together to reach the lost.

You all tell them that there is NO Trinity? You tell your viewing audience that they need to be water baptized in Jesus name, and get in filled with the Holy Ghost and speak with tongues? You tell those in T.V. land that they must obey Acts 2:38?

John Hagee Jesus is not the Messiah
Cut and paste those words into a search engine.
Televangelists like this joker, need to be tarred and feathered, and ran out of town on a rail.

Careful, your breaking forum rules. You might get in trouble for tearing down a preacher……….(now I need to repent for calling him a preacher)

Yes, every sermon he preaches on Sunday morning (and some midweeks) get televised. We don't hide what we believe. When he does a series on Repentance, Baptism and Holy Ghost (which he just finished one a few weeks ago), they are always televised. We do not teach that you have to speak in tongues to be saved, but that it is necessary to live an overcoming life. And he preaches why we are baptized in Jesus' name. So that's what is televised, just like it's preached at our church.
We pay the television time from our church budget. We got a really good price, and it reaches about five states - just a God thing.
Trust me, Eddie is NOT your typical TV preacher. In fact, it's kind of a joke, because he never liked TV preachers and then God led us to have a show. We have so many people say that he's the only preacher on TV that seems "real". Lots of places that we go to eat or shop, people are always telling us that they watch every week. That gives us an opportunity to invite them to church.
So don't lump all TV preachers together; they are not all alike.

Five states? Interesting, and you teach that there is no trinity on the television?

Wow, I am trying to understand how Brother Eddie is not being traumatized through all this? He is shy right? So, Brother Eddie gets dragged to restaurants where they throw rolls at him, and then he must endure people fawning over him and wanting to have him sign napkins, have him take pictures with them, and drag him to adjacent tables where they can introduce him to total unknowns. Is your church televised down here in Fort Lauderdale?

No disrespect to you or Brother Eddie, I am hard pressed to believe that television can translate into something worth while. If you are happy with it, then that is all that should matter to you. I think television is a medium that is used for one purpose, and one purpose only. To control and guide the huddled masses off the nearest cliff.
Lord love both of you.

Re: TV Ministries
You guys are unbelievable! Would you rather they sit at home and watch Gunsmoke than to hear Godly preaching? At least they're getting some truths pumped into them and you have to believe that His word will do a work in them.
And EB, we don't use the words Trinity OR Oneness. We teach that there is one God and His name is Jesus, but we don't bash Trinitarians. And we DO have sermons on TV on Jesus' name baptism.
And just FYI, so far no one has asked for an autograph! LOL!! I should have never told you he was shy; you won't leave it alone!
HEY!!! MY SMILIES ARE BACK! I don't know what happened; the Lord must have healed my computer.

Re: TV Ministries
And, EB, another FYI..........
I don't appreciate TV preachers who get on there and push their agenda and ask for money. If God can't supply the funds for us to minister, then we don't need to be broadcasting.
It's the same reason we don't do fundraisers for anything. If God can't supply the funds from inside the House, then we don't need to go outside and ask for money from the world. So far He has blessed us and we've been able to fund whatever we've needed to do without selling peanut brittle or chicken dinners. If that's what others do, then that's ok, but it's never been what we've felt like was right for us.
