The resort we at suppose to be right on the riverwalk. We leave late friday, maybe we can do a 5am breakfast.

I've heard the Fig Tree Restaurant at La Villita is nice or Little Rhein Steak House.
I'll e-mail my oldest sister and ask her. She spends a lot of time in the area. I'll post what she says tomorrow. She sells her artwork in the area along with my cousin.

If your talking about places on the River Walk we ate at a place there where we stopped in to get something "light". A cowboy stepped up to be our waiter (jeans, boots, hat) and asked "What can I git ya?". Since we didn't want anything huge we ordered based on price. I saw a chicken fried steak for about 6 bucks and thought that sounded good. What he brought me was HUGE -the size of a hubcap! And it was also the BEST chicken fried steak I have ever eaten in my life before or since!

Where did you eat? Lone Star Cafe? Chicken Fried Steaks are HUGE everywhere in Texas! LOL!

She is recommending Fig Tree and Paesano's. I had to e-mail her again about the boat dining, but I'm sure all choices will be pricey. It's just way too hot here to think of dining on a boat! I don't think you would enjoy it. Lord, it's hot!!! We are in the worst drought in 50 years.
