Okay guys, I had a user (who wishes to remain anonymous) email me their interpretation of my dream.
Here goes:
The thing about dreams is this, IMO: Yours was based on two life expereinces. Jesus often used real life situations to explain spiritual things..."A sower went out to sow....", etc. So, those two life expereinces are the basis, IMO, that God uses to teach you something spiritual. Bear with me, this could take some time. BTW, I'm not saying this is THE interpretation. This is just what your dream says to me.
INSTITUTION: To me, this represents “institionalized religion where Pentecostalism isn’t allowed. Something you call “Z-Pentecostalism” is allowed. Someone said it could be “Zen-Pentecostalism”, which, to my knowledge, there is no such thing. However, I looked up Zen and found this interesting statement:
“…through Zen there developed a way which concentrated on direct experience rather than on rational creeds or revealed scriptures.”
The Buddist religion of Zen does not follow “revealed scripture”. Zen teaches what ever the teacher tells the student is truth. Isn’t that what institionalized religion often does? Scripture is often ignored, replaced by what “teachers” say is truth- and students are expected to follow it without question. God MAY BE showing you that the truth is being supplanted by what teachers SAY is truth. REVEALED SCRIPTURE is our source of truth, not the opinions of men. God could be showing you that the church is becoming institutionalized, departing from Truth and following the teachings of men.
NO CHOICE: As in any institution (prisn, hospital, etc), people have no choices (or very few). The "eat" what is given to them. Their lives are "dictated" to them. They have no opinions, no questions, they merely follow rules, and submit to human authority. Sound familiar? Isn't that what denominations tell us?
I'll continue, but I will use your words, as often, HOW a person tells the dream is as important as the dream itself.
You wrote: I don't know where my husband was.... I immediately thought of S of S 3:1-2 and 6:1. Your husband, IMO is the Lord Jesus (We are His Bride, correct?). But where is He? We are seaching for Him. We are awaiting His return. In addition, your husband wasn't there because the Lord isn't welcome in institutionalized religion. Where Truth (revealed Scripture) isn't allowed, God is not welcome.
You said "...my son was in another part of this place and I wasn't allowed to see him. I was in this area that resembled a classroom, and there were other people in there also." Your son represents your past successes in life. Maybe past blessings. As good as that is, we sometimes get so caght up in following the rules of the present, that we can't see (aren't allowed to) "see" how God has blessed us in the past (before we were institutionalized). We see only what we are allowed to see. The bars and grey walls of institutionalized religion becomes all that we can see. Think of a person in prison. What can he see? Bars, walls, fences. His past successes in life are forgotten. In addition, denomintationalism rests on past successes (revivals of days gone by) and offers the present nothing but a classroom where their brand of "truth" is taught. Other peiople were in the classrom, meaning, other religious groups are being taught the same thing. Obey, submit, don't question. Follow rules.
You wrote: There were people that watched over us, and I remember one woman taking a girl's newborn baby from her and putting it in a microwave. I wanted to stop her, but I knew I was powerless to do anything. I went into the bathroom, and this woman opened the door in front of everyone and shoved me up against the wall, screaming in my face. I was humiliated.
People watching: Lord's over God's heritage. Those that sit in judgement. People who are in authority over you.
The death of the newborn: I immediately thought of the birth of Moses and Jesus. In both cases, there was an "effort" to exterminate the newborn. Moses and Jesus represents TRUTH, and whenever deeper truth is revealed, there is an attempt to "kill" that truth by killing off those that may accept that truth. You wanted to stop what was happening but 1) you were powerless 2) you were shoved against the wall (stopped) and 3) You were "shouted" down. In this dream, IMO, you represent the true church and those that have truth are often powerless to stop wrong doing, they are "stopped" and hindered from reaching out to the lost and are often shouted down. Truth does not want to be heard. Wrongdoers don't like to be told they are wrong.
Throughout this whole dream, I was emotionless. Completely empty inside. Now isn't that just where the devil wants us? Uncaring.... unfeeling...emotionaless? Thats where many are today. Unmoved by the wrong doing in institutionalized religion. Powerless, against the wall, shouted down and emotionaless.
All of a sudden, me and all the other people are sitting outside on some picnic tables. It is night time, and I am talking on a cell phone to my younger sister. This is what she said to me. This is good. "All of a sudden..." I thought of the verse that says something like "Suddenly the Lord will come to his temple..." God often does things "suddenly" to "awaken us out of our sleep. "God suddenly brought you and all the people to a picnic table, a place to "Come and dine". He wants to give us MORE than what institutionalized religion has to offer. Remember this, though, salvation and truth is available to ALL- but only a few recieve it.
NIGHT TIME: Nicodemus came to Jesus at night...in secret. Jesus prayed at night in the garden... in secret. God wants us to seek him in secret. (Read
Psalms 27:5). God is bringing HIS church to a time of secret prayer- a place where she- the church- can recieve of Him.
TALKING TO SISTER: I believe "sister" represnts the early NT church- a church not bound by institutionalized religion. God is trying to get us to pattern ourselves after HIS example of His church. The Bible talks about "a glorious church"- unspotted by institutionalism.
Your sister said :"I know you are pregnant, I can tell. You know they don't like that, do you know what they are going to do when they find out?" Remember, As soon as Zion travails, sons and daughters are born..." God wants to "impregnante" the church with deeper truth. We've been fed what denominationalism has fed us, but He want us to have full truth and bring forth fruit of that truth. Its truth that sets us free. Its truth that brings forth new born babes in Christ.
All of a sudden I hear a woman's voice scream "Jesus!" (actually it was like a unanimous voice coming from the whole earth) and I looked up in the sky.
A womans voice, yet the voice of all creation.
That, IMO, is your dream. The church is in "bondage of corruption" and she (woman) and all of nature is crying for redemption. Who is our redemption? JESUS- the LORD and SAVIOR. The stars forming a "chart" is our spiritual progress. Are we growing? Are we moving closer to the Lord? Are we gaining weight from eating what God gives us in His Word or are we starving on what religion has offered us?
I felt the Holy Ghost stir up inside of me, and I started to rise in the air. I looked over, and my son was also rising in the air, and I embraced him as we rose up together. This is where God is trying to get us to. Crying out to Him, allowing the Holy Ghost to grow stronger in us by relying on His Word for our growth and not on religion. When the Holy Ghost rises up in us, we begin to rise closer to the Lord, and we are "re-united" with our first love. (Rev.2:4) The church started out with the blessings and fellowship with God, but over time, we have left "our fist love" and become powerless, emotionaless. God wants us to re-unite with how we started out with Him.
I woke up crying. This was actually a part of the dream. God is showing what we need to do. Repent. Weep before the Lord. We've been institutionalized spiritually and He wants to redeem us. But He cannot until we, as a church start crying out to Him.
So...not such a crazy dream afterall, IMO. God is showing you the condition of His church today and what He wants for us.
