There is a difference between arguing with someone like Mike, who just doesn't happen to be right when he disagrees with me, and someone like Coadie, who is dishonest. Mike and I have argued over politics more than once, but he has never attacked my integrity. He may think that I can't possibly hold the views I do and be sane, but that goes both ways.
Light has made it a point, up until this thread, to never agree with me on AFF. But I look forward to using up the better part of a day in face to face conversation with him while the waitress keeps the coffee cup filled, (has it been almost 2 years? We gotta do it again.)
There are a number of others that are to the right of me on religious matters, even when it gets heated most don't call me a reprobate (One notable exception comes to mind).
Coadie, on a regular basis, posts links to articles and claims the article states something it does not. When I call him on it he attacks me for taking money for representing someone in court. On more than one occasion I have pointed out that his attacks on BO were not founded in truth, this is unfortunate because there is so much out there that he could be attacked on. Coadie has routinely cut and pasted nearly entire posts when he doesn't have the ability to respond.
It is not about disagreeing and having another point of view or even dealing with some of those who like to take shots at other posters, which I do from time to time. Coadie doesn't know how to argue, he makes claims that are so outlandish and often don't even relate to the topic of conversation.
But even with all that I have yet to put him on ignore, for awhile I simple didn't respond to his posts, but I will not allow him to accuse me of the very thing he has done over and over again without standing up to the bully attitude.
Put up or shut up Coadie. Either prove I copied and pasted or apologize. It really is an easy decision but are you big enough to admit you are wrong?
I couldn't agree more. We can debate the issues civally. I respect Baron and his opinions and he and I enjoy getting after one another. We can debate a topic based on it's mertis and not personally slander someone.
coadie takes it to a whole other level and he does so with lies and falsehoods and often uses other people's original thoughts.
IMO, there isn't any room for the types of things that coadie does on this forum.
