Well, Josh (YesJesusLoves) wasn't really the point to my questions. And, yes, I too have wondered if, in fact, he was a "real person". When I began this thread, I was thinking about the story of the Good Samaritan. A traveller was wounded and robbed and left on the side of the road. A priest came by, and rather than providing aid, cross the street and went on his way. A Levite came along and looked. But that was all. And, on down the road he went. So I wondered, where were they going and what was their hurry that they couldn't render aid to someone obviously in need? Then I saw YesJesusLoves' post and wondered how many of us even saw it. How many "passed by on the other side" and hurried on to the next juicy thread. How many took a peek and then forgot about Josh with the click of the mouse.
But, then again, this isn't about other people...its about me. I didn't offer Josh an encouraging word. I didn't offer to pray for him. In fact, I didn't pray for him at all until I felt the Holy Spirit check my spirit. I found I had a priestly or Levite spirit rather than a Samaritan spirit. I didn't take the time to be involved with Josh.
Josh may not be real. But, I guess I'd rather err on the side of caution and involve myself with one who may need my help, rather than just hurry on by, not even giving the Joshs of this world a second glance.
I commend the folks who did offer Josh a prayer and/or a word of encouragement. I hope I learn from their example. Like the fire department, its the Christians duty to answer a call for help, even if that call turns out to be a false alarm.

Waiting for the Lord is easy... Waiting patiently? Not so much.

Very Good Post, Bro. OneAccord.
I believe the reason Bro. Peter took personal notice is because just two
years ago, he had been in the same place as Josh. Been there, done that.
Knew it was reality. A year ago I read Bro. Peter's testimony of the miracle
God performed in his life. (His wife received the Holy Ghost this year.) Today
they walk and live in Victory! Victory in Jesus Christ.
Sept 15th Peter and Iva Wells stepped off of a Air-Canada flight from the
island of Newfoundland into our waiting arms at DFW Airport. We spent 10
wonderful days with this wonderful couple. We had interacted by email, and
by phone since Bro. Peter's testimony. When we met in Sept 09, we were not
as strangers but as brother and sisters. It was wonderful.
I am so thankful I didn't think Bro. Peter Wells was not for real! Would have
missed SO much!
I do believe that Josh was a real person, his post was too real, I have been there and done that! It has nothing to do with how many posts you make, he may have made one and backslid. I would have made only one myself except for FALLA39, and she has been such a wonderful help to my wife and I. There are times she has helped us through some doubts and worries, and those who care should keep trying to reach Josh. It may not reach him, but may reach someone else quite by accident. Negative comments and doubts don't help anyone, but positive ones help many. One accord has come to reflect on this situation, God Bless oneaccord to opening his/her eyes. Pray for Josh, and all the Joshes, someone in need wrote that thread, and it was real, and he needs our prayers.
Bro. Peter
