What have you built, JD has done many "worthwhile" projects in his community? As I said, many build nothing, only creating smoke and mirror to create and illusion of substance. Jakes not only has the "hat", he has the cattle!!
May God bless him and his leadership team to walk in all the paths that He has set before them, and ever to uphold what is right, and good, and just....!

I just don't like the guys style and methods. He has growth...whoopdeedoo. Growth can be a sign of unhealthy infection just as much as genuine God given increase.
I think the man is a sell out, just like Johnny James said.

Re: TD Jakes on Larry King Tonight!
Jakes is a "one stepper", therefore he allows God alone to judge the hearts of the repentant denominational Christian. However, Jakes admonishes his congregation to experience the "full salvation" of repentance, water baptism in Jesus name, and the baptism of the Holy Ghost with speaking in tongues. Essentially... that's all any "three stepper" can do too. lol

If someone can find a way to criticize him, he will.
I am shocked I haven't read the tired, "he's soft on holiness" criticism yet.
You know first goes the standards, then the doctrine!
I have so much repsect for Bishop T. D. Jakes.

Re: TD Jakes on Larry King Tonight!
I have not heard the interview, but I was told that he said that it is the will of God that we all come under one world church. Anyone hear that actually heard the interview know if this is true or not?

Re: TD Jakes on Larry King Tonight!
I don't have to agree completely with someone to like them and I like T.D. Jakes. There is much more positive about him to admire than some small negative. The only way to avoid criticism is to say nothing, do nothing, and be nothing! One just has to keep marching along as Jakes has and leave the critics in the dust of your passing. I seem to remember Jesus doing the same.

I watched some of the interview, but not all...
There may be a video of it on Larry King's program website.

LKL has two video snipitts of the interview, nothing about a world church in them. But the man who told me he heard it is not dumb...he is biased against Jakes because he does not like him. He does not like Jakes because he is baptized in the name, is oneness, but refuses to preach it except inside his church and he raises money for TRINITY broadcast.
IMO given that Jakes has compromised in so many areas and admits to "working with" people of "all faiths" it would not surprise me that he made some kind of statements about "unity".
