sorry Mizpeh, I am not ever going to fall into the trap that the baptist are dead and so I need to figure that out.

the fewer baptist there are, the better chance I have at winning people to the Lord.

Actually, that's not true. If you saw our church website, you'd quickly see that. And I'll guarantee you that our greatest opposition has come from "Mainstream Christian Faith." We've done several city-wide direct mailers. Each time, our office is inundated with angry calls from the "Mainstream Christian Faith."

I thought the meaty part of his post was how to win those with an anti religion attitude which was caused by hypocritical religious folks. I ignored the part about "ecumenicalism". (but it's nice to think that NOW includes us in the body of Christ (the church) even if we can't reciprocate the magnanimousity.)

Why is everyone not like you, a Baptist? That's funny. But there are many Baptists that are very effective in ministry. I'm sure you'll disagree.

And I think it's the exclusivity of many in religious circles that hurts the cause of Christ the most.
