For the record... my wife of the past twenty-six and a half years "approves" of me posting openly, in fact she was puzzled as to why I was anonymous.
The reason for that is because of the enjoyment and sense of fulfillment she receives from singing and ministering in UPC and Apostolic circles. I was concerned that my online rants and ravings might be construed as a reflection of her own beliefs. It never honestly occurred to me that I might simply cause folks to pray more fervently for her!
For the record... and those who keep score, she is a bit more "TP" (typically Pentecostal) than I and even has some zeal for the lifestyle. I'm a bit more worn out with it and tired of trying to justify things that are clearly not Scriptural.
Recently an AFF poster made some insinuative accusations against me. He refused to be specific and went on about the secrets that he could divulge if only he felt like it. That kind of slimeball posting makes me sick, so here I am. I'll change the avatar tonight when I get home.
If anyone at the First Pentecostal Church on Monica Drive and Hancock Expressway in Colorado Springs has any charges or accusations to bring... bring 'em on. I'm still waiting for your pastor to man up, but I suspect he probably never got my message. Efficient system.
My experiences with the United Pentecostal Church (FPC is now former UPC) has been largely fruitful and rewarding. However I have frequently witnessed this type of behavior - lying allegations, false charges and innuendo followed by silence when it comes time to put up.
I won't flatter myself into thinking very many people will recognize me nor probably even care all that much about who I am. I'm just sort of stepping out from behind the curtain for the reasons I have mentioned above. When I was forced to leave the UPC, I did so with my integrity intact. I have maintained my integrity. If anyone has a question, please feel free to PM me. I'll try to help out the best I can.

Re: Hello
Hi Bro David, I am glad you are not anonymous anymore.
I take it you are Pel?
I am not on FB so I do not know what you look like ( don't need to either) but am glad you gave your real name.
I often pray for people here & knowing there first names makes it more personable IMHO.
As for contacting someones Church or Pastor--that ain't right.
God Bless you & your family!

Re: Hello
Hello, Brother David. I have nothing but complete respect for you. You have always struck me to be a man of integrity. My opinion hasn't changed, whether you go by Pel, Brother David, or John Jacob Jingleheimer Schmidt. I appreciate your honesty.

For the record, I used to post on fcf as "josh" and still had my old account. I am the pastor of FPC of Colorado Springs...I believe everyone has the address by now!
Also, for the record, the length of time between my calling out and the reply to this unfortunate turn of events has nothing to do with testosterone deficiency! Nate was banned so he couldn't come back and clear this up and I have been on a trip with no internet service.
After holinesspk was called out for saying things about a neighboring church, I asked him to delete all references to other churches...and to our church. I asked Pel to delete his quotes. I then talked to holinesspk about the situation and why I don't want anything remotely related to our church put out on discussion boards. During this discussion I happened to mention that I probably know who Pelathais is (I didn't know, but I knew we were acquainted).
The reason I gave holinesspk for not discussing or identifying our church or its members on discussion boards was because of an old situation I don't feel the liberty to discuss here. The person involved in this other situation is a problem of the highest degree...that is sufficient for this explanation. (I will say that it isn't a neighboring pastor, though). Somehow, holinesspk assumed I was describing pelathais and I didn't pick up on that. The unfortunate result was that holinesspk's posting to pelathais was affected by that assumption.
Brother David and I served together many years ago. I have never known him to be anything other than ethical and gentlemanly as related to our church and its members during those times. I left CO shortly before Brother David assumed the leadership of our committee and didn't keep up with him or his whereabouts. Obviously, we have no problem with Bro David at all...except I would obviously disagree with his present stance related to "traditional Pentecostalism!"
Nate is prevented from issuing his apology in person, but we both apologize to Brother David for bringing any cloud upon his character. We at CSFPC have never spoken any accusations against him at all and we regret the unfortunate misunderstanding.
I hope this clears everything up and ya'll can go back to your discussions.

Perhaps Brother David would share his email addres with you so that holinesspeaks can send an apology directly to him.
