I'm new to AFF and I wanted to say... oh, ok. Start over...
For reasons that may occur to a couple of people here, I have decided to drop the pretense of anonymity and just post openly.
For the record... my wife of the past twenty-six and a half years "approves" of me posting openly, in fact she was puzzled as to why I was anonymous.
The reason for that is because of the enjoyment and sense of fulfillment she receives from singing and ministering in UPC and Apostolic circles. I was concerned that my online rants and ravings might be construed as a reflection of her own beliefs. It never honestly occurred to me that I might simply cause folks to pray more fervently for her!
For the record... and those who keep score, she is a bit more "TP" (typically Pentecostal) than I and even has some zeal for the lifestyle. I'm a bit more worn out with it and tired of trying to justify things that are clearly not Scriptural.
Recently an AFF poster made some insinuative accusations against me. He refused to be specific and went on about the secrets that he could divulge if only he felt like it. That kind of slimeball posting makes me sick, so here I am. I'll change the avatar tonight when I get home.
If anyone at the
First Pentecostal Church on Monica Drive and Hancock Expressway in Colorado Springs has any charges or accusations to bring... bring 'em on. I'm still waiting for your pastor to man up, but I suspect he probably never got my message. Efficient system.
My experiences with the United Pentecostal Church (FPC is now former UPC) has been largely fruitful and rewarding. However I have frequently witnessed this type of behavior - lying allegations, false charges and innuendo followed by silence when it comes time to put up.
I won't flatter myself into thinking very many people will recognize me nor probably even care all that much about who I am. I'm just sort of stepping out from behind the curtain for the reasons I have mentioned above. When I was forced to leave the UPC, I did so with my integrity intact. I have maintained my integrity.
