Apoc and his group are still just starting out. Bringing in some help can be a great way to give everyone a good kick start. Dude's not even married yet. At least he's not asking for help there!
Plus, it's fun to meet folks who've done what you're trying to do. Learn some new things, hear some success stories, make contacts and make new friends in the ministry.
I don't think he was demeaning the "speaker only" types, just throwing an idea out there and seeing if anyone had some good experiences to share.
