I'm reading a wonderful book, and in it the author writes...
"I felt God calling me to write to the editor of a Christian publication and encourage her. I did so, and forgot about the letter until I received a reply.
The editor told me that she had been recently widowed. She and her husband had run the publication together for several years, but the issue I wrote about was the first one she had done by herself since her husband had died.
After she had sent it out, she was plagued with doubts and confusion: Could she go on without her husband? She she keep writing, or let the publication die with her spouse?
As she read my letter, she knew God had heard her cries, and though she cried again, the tears were expressions of joy and relief, not not sorrow and pain.
Satan is everywhere, discouraging and accusing Christians, especially after they step out into ministry. God wants to encourage and build up the Body, and He'll often use us to do it - if we're available."
Hope this incites us to do all we can while we can. It's often the little things that matter the most...
