I have a collection of "practical joke" programs. One of them is a mistyping program which creates random character mistakes the faster someone types. It is a riot! When you start out slow it does nothing but then occasionally inserts a random letter the faster you go.
It's the type of joke you play on someone else... Not saying SHE did it.

Has anyone had any problems with letters jumping around when typing?
Did you get Windows 7, I got it late last year with a new computer, seems to be a really good system.

I've had the same problem at times when I use my laptop. I have Windows XP.

I've had the same problem at times when I use my laptop. I have Windows XP.
When I type on my laptop, suddenly my cursor will skip up or over a line or two. I don't like it, but it happened on my last laptop, too. Windows 98 and vista... it isn't a Windows issue, but a laptop and ergonomics issue for me. (If I would type correctly instead of resting my wrists on the mouse pad on a laptop, it wouldn't happen. I am learning...)
I have Windows 7 Ultimate installed on my computer & it is great!
Still takes a bit figuring out how to get to a certain place as it is set up differently than XP.
