Re: Massachusetts Election Day

Barney Frank says that he will oppose any bill rushed to the floor before Brown can be sworn in. You don't get more liberal than Frank. If he's not on board with rushing the bill to the floor, healthcare reform in its current condition looks DOA. The only other hope is Steny Hoyer not ruling out House Democrats passing the Senate version with no changes preempting the need for a second Senate vote and sending the bill directly to Obama. Either way, the Dems are digging their own grave in November.

The smartest thing to do but they don't have the guts to do it is to announce that they realize they have bitten off more than America can chew and they will start from scratch, and they will focus on freedom to choose the best and cheapest health insurance by removing all cross state restrictions, allowing for competition and market forces to drive down costs. Its the only way. And it doesn't require govt control, more taxes and deeper govt deficits.

Dreams are for free...

Cosmo doesn't print nude pictures. Partially nude, but not nude.

He's actually a Republican, but not really a true Conservative. Just wanted him in over the healthcare issue. It was said, "That's the closest we will get to a Conservative in Massachusetts." That's too bad, but true.

I thought a man's past doesn't matter, Light, when it comes to elections, remember? Past actions and past associations don't matter! As long as they're good looking and can talk well in front of a microphone, you all don't care about anything else, right? Isn't that the standard you went by when voting for BO? Why all of the sudden your concern that the man has some uncomfortable issues for conservatives?

I hadn't heard about hos stand on abortion, if he is pro-abortion I wouldn't be happy with that, but given the choice between a pro-abortion, fiscal liberal, weak on military and the war on terror Senator walking lock-step witjh this administration and legislative agenda, I'll take a guy who is a fiscal conservative, anti-tax, anti-big govt, pro-military, pro-Gitmo, anti-try the terrorists as criminals, anti-universal healthcare, albeit pro-abortion and a few pics that I might not like from 30 years ago.

How is that hard to process? Its a no-brainer.

Would you want a batter on your team who hits .900 or one who hits .105? No one bats 1.000.

Duh.
