Maybe Lady LPW is busy and hasn't had time to respond? Maybe she feels that she'll be let down by those she tried to defend?
I had actually waited a couple of days before even saying anything, just watching how the whole thing continued to play out. I also wanted to try and understand the motivation behind the "gay jesting."
There is a fascinating social dynamic at work. Perhaps I'll try and put it into an essay as I learn more about its workings.
