Re: Close Encounters with the Miraculous
Not long ago, I was in Rome, Georgia for work. I went to a nearby McDonalds for lunch and noticed a woman standing beside her car. Something drew mt attention to her and I "felt" that I should give the woman $20. Now, what man in his right mind would walk up to a strange woman and give her $20? So, I went in and ate. When I came out she was still there. Again... that "still small voice"... . But, like a man with good sense, I got in my van and left. But still...
So, against all logic, I turned around and went back. I got out and approached the woman. I said, "Excuse me... but... well, huh... I'm suppose to give you $20." The woman had the oddest reaction. She threw up her hands and began saying, "Oh, Praise the Lord. Thank you, Jesus!" Turns out, she was making an emergency trip to the hospital in Chattanooga to see her dying father or someone. (Can't recall) She made it to Rome and ran out of money and gas. And was praying that God would give her an "encounter with the miraculous". And... He did.
