what say ye?
The false teachers are coming, the false teachers are coming!!!!
- Paul Revere from N. Houston, right next to Katy, a hotbed of false doctrine.
I don't think the main problem is false treachers coming. The problem is the wake they've left us in. There is way to much of the Catholic Church still in the church. They brought tons of paganism into the church, and it's still there.
The heresy hunters are still with us. Only now, instead of stakes, they use their books and radio programs to destroy those they consider heretics.... I'm concerned that heresy hunting may be turning into leukemia because some cultwatchers seem more intent on destroying parts of the body than healing the body....

Love me LS and he personally has not offended me. Albeit I haven't even named or mentioned him in this thread. Most significantly we find the Apostolic writers standing against the fables and doctrines of men consistently in their epistles even those who claimed to be brethren. When you speak out against the Trinity do you seek out your brother who does? Or do you when they speak out against you?
Or perhaps we need to dig up the direct quotes of disdain towards me that you now post towards me, NiteGawker? Are your prayers being heard as you maintain this root of bitterness towards me?
Go and stop preaching and believing HMH no more!

I'd say the only potential problem is the clear thorn or bitterness a certain poster seems to have towards him.
Whats that verse about God not even listening to your prayers when you have ought against a brother?

I have no problem with LS. I don't agree with him on a few things but he has the basics down.
"Holy Magic Hair" may be a crock, though I do believe in uncut on women and cut on men. And I am really not sure LS preaches that.
Frankly, that isn't dangerous, off..yes.. What is dangerous is people going around saying that we don't require baptism in Jesus name, that the Holy Ghost comes with any other sign than tongues, that the Book of Acts is just "history" and therefore not profitable for doctrine. That we don't have to live holy and unblameable in his sight, and that grace is a free pass rather than an open door.
There still are thousands of "Paul Reveres" warning against this stuff. We just mostly don't do it here because there really isn't a point.
I never say much about it here, again, whats the point, most folks here have made their mind up and I am not going to debate or try and convince anybody of anything.
I think the screen name is Nitehawk. I would think a man of your "intelligence" would be able to get something that simple right.
Oh wait. I forgot. Thats just Dan being Dan which means you are allowed to a complete jerk or dirtbag to whomever you please because you are the great Dan Alicea. MY apologies. I forgot that you don't have to follow any sort of rules. You are allowed to knock people as well as opinions. I don't know what came over me.
Getting much prayer done, NiteGawk?
Surely I have offended you ... and you have not come to me before building your altar.
I call a spade a spade. You don't offend me or make me lose a moments rest. You aren't worth it. You are just another in a long line of pseudo-apostolics who want to toss out everything good about the church in order to embrace this sad little "universalist", we're all good little Christians no matter what tripe we believe nonsense.
Sell outs don't offend me enough to warrant me having a grudge. They just sadden me.
And that post was a s true as the day is longh and you know it. You really want to argue that you don't get away with stuff no one else does because admins and mods just accept that Dan is Dan? How many forums do you want to look at where you have done just the same thing? Act like a jerk, put down people rather than opinions and positions, attack the UPC non-stop and yet....you get a pass.
You're smart. We get it. You are anti-traditional Pentecost. We get that too. You are however, never the victim. You earn every ounce of criticism and rebuke...even though you rarely get it.

Which is my opinion mostly. I am of the uncut hair camp and will always be that way. I don't think it is magical though. It's not the hair itself that does anything.
The problem is with all the "easy-believism" greasy grace junk that is suddenly so accepted among "Apostolics". Not enough people are screaming and preaching against it!
