There are so many holes in that story it is so unbelievable. Believe what you will - The GOSPEL according to NBC! LOL
How stupid can you get?
AB, just to be clear you're saying that Benny Hinn does not sleep in "presidential suites" that cost somewhere in the $2000-$3000 price range? You're refuting the truth of that allegation?

Secondly: His followers DEMAND that he lives the way he does? Blithering idiocy.
Third: I'm saddened by his divorce, and I'm saddened for him. No one should have to go through this, not even a complete fraud like him.
Fourth: I've always viewed Benny Hinn, and a long list of other TBN shysters, as a really bad cartoon that won't go away. The only difference between Benny Hinn and Bugs Bunny is, Bugs Bunny doesn't ask people for all their money. One is pretending to be a preacher that can heal, the other is pretending to be a rabbit that can talk.

You know it absolutely amazes me at what is read into my posts! LOL
One nut - says that I accused his father and all others in the UPC of being thieves. I never, ever even thought such a thing.
I don't know and I don't care what, where, how, when or why Benny Hinn slept or paid for a room anywhere.
I do know that NBC, CNN, National Enquirer, Dateline and most all the other TV News shows - LIE like the devil and will do anything to smear the reputation of a PREACHER and a Christian!
Case in point - Anderson Cooper's biased reporting - and the 10 Baptist Missionaries who could not or would not or did not pay the $60,000 BRIBE the crooked Prime Minister of Haiti demanded so they threw them in a horrible jail. The whole thing was about MONEY! Been there - DONE THAT! The officials there are CROOKS and they demanded $$$.
You cannot believe ANYTHING you see on these documentaries.
I did not give Benny Hinn or Tiger Woods or the president of Coca-Cola any money and I don't care WHERE they sleep or how much money they spend!
It is none of my business or yours!
I wonder WHY "Apostolic" people are obsessed with what everyone else does and then when questions are asked about their Prophets and Potentates - the answers are not forthcoming. Could it be - You don't KNOW how much the ones in your camp, org, movement - make? Why not?

This forum is frequently accused of doing nothing but bashing Pentecostal preachers.

If I had seen your post first, I would have just ditto'd this. Ridiculously lavish lifestyles aren't necessitated by the number of "followers" someone has. At best, it's a complete lack of responsible and ethical handling of ministry finances.
I couldn't agree more with your points.

How much does your Pastor make?
How much does your DS make?
How much did NAU make?
How much will DB make?
Quite a bit of difference now isn't it? Anybody know of any guys at WEC that double dipped for years and flew first class everywhere and stayed in 5 star hotels and ate very expensive meals that cost hundreds of $$$? Nah, we don't know any like that do we? Let's talk about the TV preachers - we can talk about them because WE DON'T HAVE TV'S! LOL

I'm not sure about UPC circles. Personally, I'm AOG and I'll guarantee you Dr. George Wood doesn't expense out $2000 hotel rooms to AOG expense accounts.
As far as why I care, I personally resent people like Benny Hinn because unfortunately they are the face of Christianity portrayed before millions of people everday. Their staple is constantly asking for money for their ministries while wasting thousands of dollars at the same time. That presents a major credability problem in our society for all Christian ministries. That's extremely offensive to me.

These guys are in a different world than us. People give to them because they want to give. Nobody makes or forces anyone to give. It is no different than the LONGGGGGGG offerings at a General Conference or a Campmeeting. Who is FORCING these people to give? NOBODY!
The reason I can say that some DEMAND them to live in mansions and drive Bentleys is because I have seen them GIVE them mansions and cars and planes! There are some VERY WEALTHY business men and women that give these big time preachers MILLIONS and put them in million $$$ mansions.
I was in a meeting this week where someone GAVE a ministry an incredible HOUSE and someone else gave them an incredible CAR! No one asked them - they just GAVE IT! They wanted to give it! There was no offering being received and they gave it! I have seen people walk up and give a minister a shoe box stacked full of $100 bills (over $25,000) and said - this is for you and your family.
It is hard to believe it if you don't see it happen but I have seen it.
I can say I have seen and heard about everybody there is to see and hear and I have given most everything I have ever had into the ministry and NOBODY has ever MADE ME GIVE! I have given because I wanted too!
I gave to PTL - I did not give to Jim & Tammy Baker - I gave to PTL and am glad I did! I gave to help build Heritage USA and I gave it to GOD and not to man! I am glad I did it!
If you guys are not givers and you don't want to give - nobody is twisting your arm to give - just don't give!
I am thankful that I am a giver and give out far more than I even have to give to see the Gospel of the Kingdom preached around the world.
AB is everything about money with you?
If someone tries to give me anything, I have the right to graciously decline. These men have the same right.
