I bought a Vera Wang sweater at Kohl's awhile back, then a few weeks later wore it INTO Tuesday Morning and set the alarms off. It had some kind of magnetic strip sewn into the tag--TM removed it for me. I thought the same thing--how did I get out of Kohl's???? I don't remember an alarm going off....
Why put the things on them if they don't set the alarms off or if they do and we don't know it, where are the security?

lol Well today I shall attemt to get this situation fixed.
My SIL told me the same thing happened to her granddaughter when she bought an outfit from Sears. The do dad was under the blouse.
Mine was in plain sight for her to see and of course when she put the bag over it I never saw it until it was too late. It was a young girl working the checkout. Probaby new.

Hey! You misunderstood me when I said nothing like that has happened to me. I've been at church with the little plastic string tag hanging out from under my arm. Of course I couldn't see it, but someone else did! LOL! At least I was raising my hands in worship - tag and all!
