I found the pics to be sad... sad for those who have left the Apostlic Church to go the way they have...

and yes I'm thankful for friends and yes I have some who have left the Apostolic Faith and Heritage they were once a part of and remain their friend but still completely disagree with the road they have taken ...

and no I would not have attended an event like the reunion in this thread even if it was a College I attended...

I don't see it as a Celebration of Friends and this in only my opnion...I see it as a complete justification of the new life and liberties some now lead....and again this in only my opinion....sad as some of you feel it may be...

Sorry to disappoint some of you... but I can't accept that Love is always accepting of every sinful decision of those who have walked away from Truth...

One thing about the prodical Son that is interesting is that the Father never left Home to Search for His Son... although when the Son decided to Come back Home Dad was Waiting for him... I pray that those who left Home would make the decision to come back... Because I do believe that God will be waiting for them...

I hope you never pastor a church. You have to love the sinner.

With your example, you would just sit and wait on them to return. They have to KNOW there's going to be unconditional love to even want to return. I believe the prodical son knew he would receive that.

Help me out, here, Rev. Please point out which people in the pictures have made sinful decisions. I find it really hard to do, myself. Guess ya need discernment, or something.

For reference purposes, I believe he would be speaking of those wearing pants, jewerly, short hair on women and facial hair on men (however, I'm confused with this one as it's being allowed in UPC now). You know, the sinful decisions.

It gets a little harder for him though to find the sins of the ones that look the part (in his eyes).

I personally know of two people that attended that their lives have been impacted by what took place at the reunion.

I know their histories and they would be considered "sinners" in anyone's eyes because they have sinned and it has NOTHING to do with outward appearances - - it's real sin. However, Randy would miss them because they fit in just fine. He wouldn't "see" them as sinners.

It's just really, really sad to have the outlook as some do.

I hope those that needed to feel the love that the prodical son felt it and it will influence them down the road.

I have to hope that one smile or one hug that I gave them could let them see the Jesus in me and let them know there is hope for their lives.
