Congratulations, Bro. Scott!!!
Our eldest daughter, and first born, graduated Valedictorian of her class of 107 in 1978.
Her first cousin, a boy, was salutatorian of the same class. Both won large scholarships
as well as smaller ones. They both gave their speeches, giving God glory for their accomp
lishments. Then our daughter sang in a clear 17 yr. old voice, standing before her class
seated at the edge of the football field, "Only One Life". When our nephew's sister gradu-
valedictorian two yrs later, the principal insisted on reading her valedictory speech before
graduation. Someone reported that he said, "what happened a couple of years before
would not happen again. He died of a massive heart attack not too long afterward. There
has been much religious predjudice in our city through the almost (Sept 2010) sixty yrs
we have lived in this city. BUT God has a thriving church here in spite of such predjudice.
My ten siblings and I all graduated from this same high school. Our six adult children also
graduated from the same. Many of our grandchildren are homeschooled today. 20 grand-
children, another due in July. (15 boys, 5 girls and the one on the way is a girl)
Our eldest daughter's firstborn (son) and wife, gave us our first Great-Grandchild (Feb.2010).
Bro. Sam, you've got me beat a little on age. I am 70 yrs., married 50 yrs. as of last July
2009. Graduated from high school in 1957. I was the youngest in my class. Todate out of
the class of 32, not one of my classmates have died todate. Our of my eleven siblings, all
of us remain alive except one brother who crossed over in 2007.
Bro. Scott, may the LORD be with your daughters all the days of their lives, in Jesus Name!
GOD IS SO GOOD!
I don't think I'm old. But... when I get there, will I know it?
Timmy,
Although I am 70 yrs, I don't admit to being old. Just older! We are all
getting older. Some are just farther down the road. I guess I have mellowed
somewhat, like a cantalope. It's hard and green when it has not ripened. But
let it get ripe and mellow. How good it is!! I am very satisfied with where GOD
has brought me to! I have much to show for my years. It is HIS goodness and
mercy that has brought me to this point. I know HE will take me safely HOME,
in HIS TIME! Meanwhile I am thankful unto HIM and bless HIS NAME!!
LOLOLOL.........I like that........Like a cantalope.........
I'm going to use that Sister if you don't mind.......
I'm 47 I'm gonna stick to the cantalope........:0)
