Dillon and the need for spiritual guidance on our part. I am convinced that this was not happenstance, but ordered of God for our benefit. Felicity and I both rejoice concerning confirmation received on direction related issues in our lives.
I felt right at home in these services and enjoyed immensely the preaching of both Bro. Foster (the appetizer), and Bro. Dillon (the entre). My soul was hungry for what was served and my spiritual appetite sufficiently sufficed. I also enjoyed the worship.
I am always amazed at how God can set up His divine appointments in the most unpredictable manner. It had been so long since I had attended a UPC function and I did not know what to expect. I was overwhelmed by the warm reception we received from everyone. After 10 years of being away from the UPC, it was nice to actually feel so comfortable in one of their services.
I have concluded that God is definitely still speaking to the UPC constituency. However, it seems that in order to do so He has to scream at them.
Is this what the Bible refers to when it speaks of those who are dull of hearing? I honestly believe I could have heard what God had to say at about 30 decibels less volume!
Both Bro. Dillon and Bro. Foster have invited us to attend their conferences in August, so who knows, we just might do that! We certainly felt a connection has been made between us.

I am surprised a man of your stature and intelligence has not figured out the direct correlation between decibels in preaching and the annointing.
Also between an audiences raucus immediate response to a sermon vs. results from a sermon. If you don't have the congregation whoopin and a wailing you just arent annointed or getting the job done.
I know because I have sat in many a UPC church and heard a preacher spend a good portion of his sermon time saying "you're not getting this!" and other similar fretting since only a portion of the congregation were on the feet hollaring, screaming, waving hankies, and otherwise giving him affirmation.
