Re: Only In The South!
All of this reminds me of home in the highlands of the Rockies (above 7000 feet). We all learned to look after one another in the time of 'any need' (mountain to mountain and valley to valley), or we could very well die up there in either summer or winter.
Of course, being in the swamps (er, bayous) of Louisiana is not quite the same thing as living in clear mountain air, but the people are the same.
