As mentioned earlier, my wife & I do not wear expensive clothing. Indeed, most of my suits come from Wal-Mart, which costs no more than $80. Most of the time I wait for them to go on clearance & get them for around $40.
Again, just because there are some who violate these principles does not mean that you throw out the baby w/ the bathwater. Some claim genuine repentance, but show fruit otherwise. Should we therefore now stop teaching repentance to a lost world?

I'll do ya one better. I simply don't wear suits -and the shorts and dress pants I DO have to occasional put on are usually purchased at Sam's Club for $15 (and very occasionally $20) bucks. Throw in a $15-20 Hawaiin shirt from Kohl's (on the extreme sales rack of course) and you got a whole outfit for 30-45 bucks.
I have to admit though that I recently spent a hundred bucks on a pair of hiking boots which seemed outrageous to me since I almost never wear any shoes over 40, but I could really tell the difference in quality and since we do a lot of hiking it seemed like money well spent.
