What's funny is, since everyone knows Pixler is a the right-wing side of things, all the cons are saying, "Oh wow, that's wonderful." None of them can explain it, of course, but they love it!
That makes sense, though. None of the Con hogwash makes any sense.
I understand enough about where Bro Pixler is coming from that I think it would be easy to explian, and like I said, multi-layered. however I would hate for Bro Pixler to be join the ranks as yet another conservative preacher being bashed on a forum famous for doing just that and glorying in it.
Of course there may be a certain "glory" in having one's "image" trashed over here....
Ok, Bro. Pixler is saying that when someone steals the glory from God (i.e. accepting the praise for themselves) they pervert the image of God. I already pointed out some scripture to back this up. Please review my previous post on this discussion.
This much I agree with and can give a hearty "AMEN!!", though he was not the first to say such a thing...
"Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen." ~ Romans 1.21-25
I've often pondered whether self-worship is the root of homosexuality. It seems that Paul is hinting at that, doesn't it?

Coonskinner once said something to the effect that homosexuality is the ultimate narcissism--homosexuals are attracted to their own image rather than the opposite sex. (Not an exact quote!) I thought that was pretty brilliant.

And the woman says something that I can agree with. You really should be in the kitchen baking for your family, but...we'll let it slide today.

Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand;

I don't buy it.
Attracted to their own image?
It's called selfish indulgence. Fantasies are powerful because they are taboo. Often, homosexuality is began by other "gateway drugs" of promiscuity.
Then there are cases of abuse and molestation, father abandonment that exist. To say they all worship themselves is rather simplistic.

No need--my husband baked us a cake yesterday.
