Re: Statement by Bro. Steve Pixler
They may embrace it, the same way some of us embrace being called "Goats".... being despised by certain groups of people can be a badge of honor. Actually, maybe I should make a tract for "Goats" to pass out, outside of GC in Houston? That could be fun...

You make valid points. But....none of this is said in hate-speech.

Get off your high horse.
First, it was offense and intended to be so.
Second, NOW was telling him he didn't need an admin to delete it.
Finally, some conversations need to be sanitized.

Makes sense.
I guess I see a difference between that and the N-Word. While rappers continue to use the word, we don't see shows called "Nigger Tales" or "Life Being a Nigger." It would seem rather insulting. But I get your point in how they are re-claiming this word and taking what was a bad thing, making it a "fun" thing, if you will.

Here's a clue for you: Anything posted in the open forum is pretty much the collective business of everyone.
I just get really tired of you bullying everyone into saying things exactly as you like to read them. Who made you the forum police? Express things the way you want to express them and let everyone else do the same without your constant badgering and harassment. It really gets old.

Please. NOW is the one on the high horse.
Most conversations on this forum don't need sanitization. I've been here a long time, and those threads that have needed serious admin intervention have been few and far between.

Again the statement was offensive, and even the author recognized it. You picked the wrong time for this battle. You are clearly on the wrong side of this one.

So place me on ignore or report me. That way you can....ahem, one more time.....mind your own business. All I need to know about you is that you're defending the anti-gay hate-speech of a caricature AFF member. Often this comes from frustration, but in any case, I'll post, you post, and we'll both be happy. I certainly am!!
