I know you're making a valid point but that was difficult to read.

I retracted my statement, but I still can't stand people who participate in that sin. God never intended for two men to be together. The Bible condemns it, so I have a right to condemn it as well.

It happens so often, it's difficult for her to recognize.

And that's your right, if you so choose. But just understand, there are some of us that deeply love people who are gay.

"Defending the anti-gay hate-speech?" Nope. I addressed his post just as directly as you did. I didn't feel the need to ask him to edit out everything offensive in order to have a conversation. I'm in agreement that the word "queer" isn't a good word to use, I don't use it, and our kids don't use it.

I just don't think it's so offensive as to require deletion (or an apology), but that's the finer point. Standards quickly apologized, and that goes to illustrate his good attitude. I think it's odd that you can't seem to have a decent conversation without trying to manipulate all the posts to reflect your delicate sensibilities. Obviously I'm not only referring to this thread, but repetitive behavior on your part. Live and let live, NOW. It's a good way to approach conversations in particular.

The Bibles condemns sin. Period.

Does it matter how far short you fall if you still fall short?

You can't stand the people? ...see thats a problem for me when someone says I can't stand people. You are defining them by their actions, not who they are.

No. I do believe that Romans 2 categorizes this as one of the worst sins. It's against nature and it's mocking God's design.

Invest a lot of time in defending NOW's oft-hysterical reactions to statements on this forum that he finds offensive, and you'll be the one on the "wrong side."
