One point you are missing here - - - the Israelites didn't have GOD living in them like we do now.
God can speak to a minister now to give guidance and instructions, but God isn't giving ministers new RULES that you have to have to make it to heaven.
God is NOT the author of confusion.
Bro. A in Mississippi gets a word that wearing wedding rings are a sin.
Bro. B in Ohio didn't get that word.
How do you explain that?
Some churches need more standards than others. For instance, one man takes a stand on wild hair styles, because the homosexuals in his part of the world wear their hair that way. In another part of the world, it's not a problem because the hairstyle doesn't reflect that identity. Wedding rings are not a salvific issue, but it is difficult for someone to maintain a stand on jewelry, and allow wedding rings. The same with short sleeves.
I know what you're thinking at this point, so let me clarify. This is not the case with something as clear as someone deliberately disobeying the scriptures. If something new comes along that defies God's commandment, we have a right to preach against it. I believe that Television is a salvific issue, because we shouldn't set anything wicked before our eyes. New types of clothing have come out that directly violate Paul's immodest apparel statement. We have a right to preach these things. When it comes to this, if so and so doesn't receive the revelation like I have, I'm not responsible for that man's ignorance. He has the same Bible that I've got, and he's read the verses that I mentioned.

How long shall I see the standard, and hear the sound of the trumpet?

8For if the trumpet give an uncertain sound, who shall prepare himself to the battle?
Joel chapter 2 and verse 1
Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand;

Well, I hope you make sure the animals were not strangled. And the meat wasn't offered to idols.
You forgot about the blood.

But let me ask you, Standards, do you believe it's a sin to eat rare meat, due to the blood prohibition?
We must take the necessary steps to ensure that we are not defying God's commandment.
