No one CAN refute Jason's arguments....with New Testament verses, anyway. And there's no way I'd call him a liberal.

Anyway Ezra, anytime you like....you poor thing.
No one can refute Jason's arguments? Joey B. tore him up on AMF. I'm telling you, most cons. find this forum to be a waste of time. That's why their not on here wasting their time. I guess I'm just too cons. even for the people on AMF. I look at it differently, but I do think I'm probably wasting my time as well

Why do they find it a waste of time?

There are some pretty smart fellers on this forum. Then there's average Joe's like myself. Then there's some people that are smart in different ways (for you, NOW)

Share the AMF thread where Jason got eaten for lunch. So far, his arguments concerning tithing have been pretty well-stated.

The problem with most of these discussions on AFF, is that twenty libs gang up on one con. and then walk away pumping their fists. "Oh yeah baby, we tore him to shreds." When in reality, they just got tired of trying to answer thirty questions at a time.

BTW, I f you're on amf, just look for Jason and select "view all threads started by this poster". It's the one on tithing.

There used to be threads where it was one-on-one debate. I recall reading one with Jason as a matter of fact before.

Ganging up on here has gone both ways though. Depends who's logged on. I'd say a majority on AFF that actively participate wouldn't be a majority OP though. I'll give you that. But the OP group just leaves angry.

BTW, not on AMF.

There is still a one-on-one forum:

If they intend on issuing convincing arguments that will validate their point of view, it is indeed a waste of their time to be here. The precepts on which you build your principles, creeds, rules, regulations, and culture on are laughable and cannot stand the test of a halfway sharp fifth grader.

I don't know who Joey B. is, sorry. But like I said, tithing cannot be solidified with NT scripture. I believe in giving and I believe the NT heart will give more than 10%. The heart always responds better than the law. But you can't make tithing an absolute out of the NT.

I know how you work. I post scriptures and you tear them apart. You don't want scriptures, you want to argue. So...what's the point?

I consider you to be one of the "smart fellers" on this forum. You've got me whooped ('cept when I'm right and you're wrong!). Seriously, you were REALLY good in the "Cross" thread.

I do not consider myself to be a theologian, even an amateur one, nor a debater. There aren't many who could match me on bible knowledge for everyday living and practical Christian living. I totally have a pastor's heart. But when it comes to deep knowledge or debating knowledge or dissecting Turtullian, I'm a 3 on a 10 scale.

I'd like to think that just posting scriptures does not an argument make. The whole chore of wading through the waters of theology is application, which goes WAY beyond just throwing up scriptures.
