Thank you. I have heard this before. In fact, I have been told I was demon possessed. Let me tell that was a real moral booster. Not.
Please, if you ever find yourself in a situation where you are ministering to a gay person, be very mindful of what you say and how you say it. You may be the last Christian they ever talk to.
|
Let me make myself clear. I was not saying you are demon possessed. I really don't know if every gay person is possessed or dealing with their human spirit. Many people have spirits that oppress them and or not possessed, but if they do not conquer whatever they are dealing with often become possessed.
As to ministering to a gay person I have done that. You can love the person and hate the sin, whether it is a person in a gay lifestyle or even a person that is in an adulterous affair. Both are wrong according to the Word of God. We must tell the truth in love. However, many don't want to hear the truth, but look for someone to say "your" sin is okay. But a true friend will tell you the truth even if it hurts.
I believe in the delivering power of God to set gays free from that spirit IF they truly want to be delivered.
I also believe that God can heal anyone. Sometimes He doesn't. I don't yet know why, some are and some are not. But I do know MOST that really want to be healed keep seeking for that miracle.

I don't know how people say it with a straight face. It's lazy Christianity, in my opinion. Let's just accuse everyone who's issues we can't solve, of not praying enough, fasting enough, or being demon-possessed.

And what exactly do you find "incredibly ridiculous"? The truth?

Do you feel comfortable putting sinners in hell? Or do you state where you disagree, state the solution and then leave the rest to God?
Maybe DM didn't mean that, since he didn't say that, so perhaps you shouldn't put words in his mouth. (Or into his keyboard.)

Of course it's up to God. But I also don't throw around the tag "False Doctrine" very easily. Almost never, actually. My point is, DM, and others, have a different viewpoint on something and when they do, they regurgitate, "False Doctrine" rather than saying, "I disagree." But when push comes to shove, they chicken out and say, "Well, it's up to God."
"False Doctrine" is a VERY serious charge and DM has used it too easily here. THAT'S my point.

The only drawback is asking a blonde. She's more worried about what color to choose.

Oh, the irony.

So you say that he teaches false doctrine, people are lost because of it, and then you say he's SAVED????? Wow.
When Paul said, in the New Testament, that false teachers were teaching false doctrine and that people were lost because of it, he never came close to saying they were saved....quite the opposite, actually.
