Baltimore is messed up by your liberal friends. They have very wastefull education systems. High taxes and a non business friendly environment.

I would move a factory out of Baltimore in a minute for lower labor rates and less union hassles.

No this would not be an easy adjustment. This is ludicrous. Why should I give up cheap goods to feed greedy American workers ? The unions have outlived there usefulness as sandie has already stated. They have pushed so much for the worker that he is now overpaid to do less work, has top dollar benifets, and job security. He has no competition, no reason to work for the company and go the extra mile. American products are more expensive because we now have to pay for jacked up labor cost thanks to the unions. I refuse ! You wanna talk about people taking care of their countrymen while those same countrymen will strike for more money and benifets than most of us make and for less work.

Dont get me wrong , Im just as patriotic as the next person, but American workers, especially unionized, have become ineffencient, lazy, and simply come to work to get a paycheck, not earn one. I will not take more money from my family to pay for that. Sorry.

Let me tell you about a lovely state called California.

California and it's liberal cities, have for a long long time have had policies that made it very hard to operate businesses. From taxes on businesses to fees and regulations, many businesses have left the state or going out of business.

That is why California has such a high unemployment.

Businesses don't "start up" because they want to give jobs. They start up to make a profit. And along those lines big businesses that employ a lot of people have to get loans or investors.

If a company is not turning a profit, they have less investors.

So these businesses being hurt by local laws will naturally find a cheaper place to operate. It's not about "bailing"

The companies that have abandoned these areas for overseas spots made the dollar the bottom line-- without regard to their countrymen and the communities their greed affected.

However, the way to stop the infiltration and destruction of drugs on a community is to get to the drug dealers and distributors-- if they can't feed the addicts, the addicts will be FORCED to either clean up, die, or go somewhere else. They will have no choice.

This would not be an easy adjustment for many families who are at or near the poverty level-- or for the middle class for that matter. However, it is an adjustment that has to be made if we want to be less dependent on foreign labor.

Again,businesses are not there to employ people but to make a profit. Many of these companies though would love to stay in the states if asked. The government however makes it harder and harder with taxes and fees

American companies that outsource and/or have the bulk of their operations in foreign lands wouldn't even exist if it wasn't for America!

It's the ultimate forgetting where you come from.


As for your crack head comment, most of the people affected by American businesses going overseas with their ops are not crackheads-- they're people just like you and me.

It's not the only reason Prax.

American companies have been leaving America for a long, long time.

So not only do they leave America, they funnel their profits through the banks of other countries to avoid fair taxation and they do same thing with their payroll.

Furthermore, if it wasn't for people, they wouldn't make a profit.

People with your self don't understand free markets bring equilibrium.

And to further remind you of your educational limits, Mennonites brought wheat from Russia and we export wheat to Russia more often than not over the century. Why are farmers so productive in america? We have great educations and hard work. We don't pay unuion wages and over time.

Your non global economic mindset is 60 years behind the times.

I would rather pay $5.00/pint for strawberries from a company that pays American workers a fair wage to pick them than to pay $1.99/pint for strawberries picked by illegal immigrants or strawberries from Bolivia.

Apply that same concept to everything else America could plant and build for ourselves, and our economic force will always be strong and we will never again be dependent on foreign labor for our survival.



Isn't interesting? My fellow Conservatives are against dependence on foreign oil, but insist dependence on foreign grown or built products.
