It has happened a few times near my old hometown. There are a few deer sanctuaries and while the deer are very friendly, including the males most of the time, once the rut starts look out. It is not so much that they become mean, but very unpredictable -and mean!

We do have an over population problem here. There is one community here that is so overrun the state has had to step in and kill a certain amount.

That is Wisconsin every single year.

I am NOT against hunting but the problem with it is that unlike natural selection which claims the young, old, weak, and dying, hunters tend to go for the biggest and strongest. The deer that they are bagging today look nothing like what they were getting even 30 years ago. The weak and deformed are now left to continue the species every year.
