For me... I pray and center myself. On the site I look at a photo and pray for some insight. I might get a strange "snap shot" in my head. Normally it's really random like. For example: a park, a car, a tool box, a dresser. I might hear a phrase like, "The food's terrible!" and it's over. Or something like a video clip, like someone jogging. Sometimes I see a big bold capital letter, sometimes I'll see a word spelled out in cursive. Sometimes these things come in a quick series of "snap shots". Sometimes I feel a wave of emotion. Then, as I express what I'm seeing/feeling, I might feel goose-bumps and a tingly sensation throughout my body, like when you hear a really awesome song for the first time. Then they come in strong and suddenly it stops just out of the blue.
Had somebody here on AFF tell me he could read my mail. I said go ahead. He didn't.

I dont even know what to say. Brother, if you can't see this is not of God then I fear that you may very well have fallen into tremendous deception. I pray God opens your eyes to the devices of the adversary.
I know that you love God and I have always felt a genuine desire for Him in your posts.

What makes you so certain that it isn't of God? I've had these impressions since receiving the Holy Ghost. I'd shake hands with some people and get a deep impression about them... or get a "snap shot" of them in my head (Word of Knowledge). Sometimes I'd be asked questions or someone need advice... and I'd get chills and feel a deep spiritual outpouring while giving them some advice (Word of Wisdom). I've had deep impressions regarding people's motives (discernment). Note... I'm only trying to stir up the very gifts I've had since being baptized in the Spirit.
What's interesting is... I believe that if we were talking about a "Christian Forum" and spiritual gifts the entire tone of the conversation would be different, even if the content were the same.
