I've been to the Mayan Palace in Nuevo Vallarta (its like the suburb of Puerto Vallarta...hehehehe). It was a great resort right on the beach and had a great pool. I am not sure about family from the stand point of activities at the resort, but there was no nudity.

Here is a link: http://mayanresorts.com/mayan-palace/nuevo-vallarta/

It was beautiful there. That is actually where I own my time share.

Re: Mexican Resort?

We've stayed at the "Vallarta Torre" resort in PV. Best vacation we ever had! It's not a superluxury megaresort, but it's very nice, and all the personnel are awesome. It's on the beach, has a nice pool and a little restaurant and bar, and if there was any nudity, I didn't notice it.

Re: Mexican Resort?

We had lunch with some friends at a resort in Ensinata (sp)last September. It was very nice. Our friends have a work there. If you are interested let me know and I'll get the name.

Thanks for all the info.

Anyone ever stay at the Dreams in Cancun?

We are leaning toward a week there.

Re: Mexican Resort?

We can get a direct flight out of St Louis (chartered). So that would be nice considering Stevie will just be a few months old.

Booked the package today for the first of next month.

Wish it was now... heavy snow today, businesses closed... HELP!

Re: Mexican Resort?

In cancun...the Palace Resorts--we loved the Grand Moon Palace Resort when we went there last year with the boys. Moon Palace is a huge resort with three different hotels on one property---we stayed at the newest one (Grand Moon).

It was awesome. They have their own water treatment plant where they convert salt water to fresh so you don't have to worry about the water!

I have seen so many lies posted. The best one is the one Triumphant 1 did his best to combat. You know, the hair cutting party thing?

Prominent members of this board chose to believe the lie and even continue to spread it, even though T1 had totally proved it was false.

Re: Mexican Resort?

One of my wife's friends just got back from a resort on the west side of Mexico. Anyway...they had a lockdown one day as two drug cartels were having a gun battle in the lobby!!! She thought they were just shooting a movie or something when she saw men with machine guns running everywhere!

This happened two weeks ago!
