The keyboard on the droid is one of the few real complaints that users have -it is a bit stiff and flat BUT having never actually had ANY keyboard on a phone or PDA it is not hard to use at all in my opinion. Funny thing is, the virtual keyboard on the screen is just as easy!

We've had ours for about 12 hours now and cannot believe how many free apps there are! My wife has already bought her medical database program she needed, and which was the reason we bought them in the first place. I am also going to soon be experimenting with some remote control software which allows the Droid to actually control a PC.

NOW I am just waiting for Adobe to release their Flash support! Argh! It was supposed to be out before Christmas and is STILL "any day now". Also, am waiting for an official Netflix player.

I thought about waiting too but we needed something for some medical software and the Windows Mobile 7 aren't due until close to Christmas.

Re: Motorola Droid

I really like my Palm Pre. It has a keyboard and multitasking.

Re: Motorola Droid

Just made a horrible mess trying to put on my first screen protector laminate. I was so careful but it is still nothing but bubbles and dust. Luckily I have ONE MORE try to get it right since we had a pack of three and my wife got hers on nearly perfect.

(And no, I will not ask her to do it. I NEED to do it myself.)

If you're thinking about getting a case, I recommend the one made by Body Glove.

I will be picking one up soon.... and very likely another pack of screen protectors. The sales rep at the Verizon store is giving them to us at half off (which I know is still probably 2-3 times what they paid). They even have a cool alarm clock dock which the phone goes into sideways and turns into a multimedia alarm clock.

It can also be used for the "going home" show.

"Light classical, please."
